This is the resource area for Lippincott, Williams & Wilkins that publish McArdle, Katch and Katch Exercise Physiology textbook and many of the books advertised have access to their ‘Student Resouce Center’. This provides a great deal of information including quizzes that are designed to aid learning.
McGraw Hill Online Learning Centre providing information on teaching of and instruction in physiology. Clicking on ‘Instructor Center’ provides two good items - an instructor lab manual and human body case studies.
The American Physiological Society website containing useful information on physiology education in general under headings such as – Education Overview, Archives of Teaching resources, Undergraduate Education, Graduate/Professional Education, Continuing Education. Also contains good additional education links.
National centre for chronic diseases - Surgeon Generals Report.
A database relating to clinical medicine, health care, veterinary medicine, pharmacology and the biosciences such as genetics, physiology and immunology. The database covers over 3,800 journal titles.
Web of Knowledge/Web of Science: The full Web of Science from MIMAS covers 1981 to date. You may search all three indexes simultaneously, or select searching in one index (Science/Social Sciences/Arts) only. Web of science offers enhanced citation searching, including citation searches for all authors, not only the first named, as well as ‘related records’ option which can be used to widen your search results.

In the lead up to the 2024 BASES Student Conference, we have dedicated a series of webinars named ‘BASES Student Webinar Series’ to support and aid learning for students, at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
The series consists of seven webinars, presented by a range of BASES Fellows, BASES Division Committee Members to BASES Professional Members and Accredited Sport and Exercise Scientists.
