The Growing Impact of Clinical Exercise Physiologists in Healthcare

12th December 2025

Clinical Exercise Physiology UK (CEP-UK), part of the CASES organisational structure, continues to advance the recognition and integration of Clinical Exercise Physiologists across the UK healthcare system.

As an advisory group to CASES, CEP-UK is dedicated to establishing a registered workforce of Clinical Exercise Physiologists who are equipped to support individuals living with a wide range of chronic health conditions. The group has been steadily expanding its resources, partnerships and visibility within healthcare to further this mission.

Clinical Exercise Physiologists are degree-qualified health professionals specialising in the design and delivery of evidence-based exercise programmes. Their expertise supports the prevention, treatment and long-term management of acute, sub-acute, chronic and complex conditions—improving patient outcomes and quality of life.

To raise awareness and strengthen understanding of the profession, CEP-UK has released a new series of videos showcasing the role of Clinical Exercise Physiologists, patient experiences, and practical insights into service delivery.
