Role of sport and exercise professionals in the delivery of the NHS long term plan

20th October 2020

The University of the West of England is undertaking a project on behalf of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy which is funded by Health Education England.

This project aims to understand the role of sport and exercise professionals in the delivery of the NHS long term plan, particularly in relation to clinical exercise prescription, within Allied Health Professions (AHP) services in England. The project will be exploring the scope and variation in clinical exercise prescription practice in the UK, identify different practices of involvement of AHP support workers in that process, and identify the characteristics, challenges and opportunities for the AHP support workforce.
