International Women’s Day

8th March 2023

Today is International Women’s Day and the theme of 2023 is #EmbraceEquity - celebrate women's achievement and raise awareness.

BASES membership includes many inspirational and inspiring women, we would like to celebrate their achievements by highlighting the various resources they have made available to the BASES membership and beyond.

Firstly, BASES first female Chair, Prof Zoe Knowles, marks the day by giving some great advice, ‘Believe in yourself, be determined, challenge norms and work collaboratively. The sport and exercise science sector offers a fantastic breadth of opportunities for women to make a difference every day’.
