BASES Exercise Science Certified Practitioner

Following discussion and consultation over the last 12 months, the Board has recently agreed to a new name change for the BASES Certified Exercise Practitioner (CEP) to BASES Exercise Science Certified Practitioner (ESCP). The reason for this is to avoid any confusion between the BASES certificate, CEP-UK and Clinical Exercise Physiologists. The official name change will take place on 1 September 2024.

This continues to provide a professional certification in recognition of exercise professionals with a sport and exercise science degree. BASES ESCP establishes the credibility of practitioners who can demonstrate the necessary practical vocational knowledge and skills to work effectively in a clinical exercise environment, underpinned by an academic qualification to degree level.
